Banayan is my Igorot name. This is a name i inherited from my ancestors. In our culture, we are christened with our Igorot names when the umbilical cord detaches itself from the newborn babe. The ceremony is called gobbaw.
I am an FBI - a Full Blooded Igorot, and if there are some things i am proud of that is one of them. I live in the mountains of Sagada, a municipality famous for its caves.
